![]() ![]() This is such a gothic, supernatural, horror, adventure MG sprinkled w/faerie magic even! Beautiful cover too!! Gorgeous!!□□I really loved this, & I highly recommend!!□□ She quickly has to turn into a brave, fierce fighter she’s always supposed to have been. That nursery rhyme thing?! That was so creepy too!!□In the beginning of the book Jess is a well mannered girl, with good upbringing, & ladylike manners & beliefs. It was the perfect setting, & I imagined everything perfectly. This is in Victorian London, & I loved that too. The city is under attack by monsters & ghouls, & it’s up to the society to stop them. She joins a secret society she just learned about, that includes kids that also have talents like herself-A talent she just found out she had. I think she handles it all the best that could be expected. She is thrown into a situation that is scary, unbelievable, & full of family secrets. ![]() So b/c of that I would say maybe upper MG?(Again I don’t have kids, so I’m just throwing an opinion out there lol). I also loved this one! Maybe even more! This blew me away! This is a darker MG in all the right ways. Wow! I love this author! I read Gloomtown by him in April, & loved it. ![]() ![]() ![]() One careless remark at Johnny's birthday party, with the entire family present, starts Cara spilling out all their secrets. And now, it is my honor to introduce this lovely woman to you. ![]() It has been my pleasure to get to know her. Kathryn was extremely responsive, very sweet and gracious. The more I observed, the more my curiosity about this award-winning author/illustrator grew until one day, I thought, Why not introduce yourself, and see if she would be willing to answer some questions. My book, “Butterfly Kisses for Grandma and Grandpa,” won the silver, and I became curious about my competition, so I purchased a copy of “One.” It did not take me long to understand why “One” took the gold. If you're looking for something more, add this to your TBR for May.Ĭlub Shadowlands by Cherise Sinclair (2009) Ours to Love is the seventh full book in the Wicked Lovers series, and I'm excited for it because not only does it feature a light bondage theme, but there's also a ménage. Morgan works as host of a cable sex talk show. The Mark of an Alpha (Pack Discipline 1) by Kim Dare (Goodreads Author) (shelved 13 times as kim-dare) avg rating 3. While there aren't anymore Pack Discipline books as of yet, another great light bondage book by Kim Dare (and a personal favorite!) is Duck, set in the same paranormal scene but involving Avian shifters. ![]() ![]() ![]() It’s a simply written book, almost leaning to YA in its slow, deliberate sentences and plain vocabulary. The main character, Evan, is developed only to the extent he must be, and the language forgoes decoration and lyricism almost entirely.
